Who are Asuras? Do we find historical proof?

ಅಸುರರು ಭಾರತ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಹರಪ್ಪಾದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನೂಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ನಾವು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ (planned city with full municipal water & sewage management, food security, closed drainage, garbage management, planned markets, fair trade etc).

http://soghal.blogspot.in/2017/12/who-are-asuras-do-we-find-historical.html

Sura means people who do surapana (Drink liquor). Asura means who do not drink. Add to this the following equations

1) As no proof of a king is found in Indus Valley Civilisations, The ruling system is deemed to be a republic
2) Commoners were identified with a pendant/Amulets

3) Ruling elite who were part of council (who are supposed to be intelligent & smart) were identified with cow horns

IVC clay figurine with horns but without canine tooths

3) The chief/chairman of the council was wearing a golden head band or a horn of Rhinosarus

The IVC republican system transmigrated to later system of "Maha Janapads". These Maha Janapads existed around Ganges. Magadha became powerful and slowly merged all republics under its arms to form a kingdom ruled by a king.

The ruling elite, were supposed to be idealistic in their life. They did what they could to design a world class water distribution system. However the tectonic shift in Himalayas caused earthquakes and shifting of lifeline rivers. The failure to visualise this natural calamity eroded the confidence level in the council members. The resulting revolt by the commoners could have vilified the council members. These council members became "Asuras" (like our politicians today). The villification gives them a canine teeth with horns. The celebrated people became most hated people for no fault. They probably took too much credit when things happened as per their prediction and failed to explain natural calamities. People believed natural calamities as anger by gods and ruling elite did not do enough to please gods. Commoners thought, elites are accumulating wealth with selfish motive and instead of offering sacrifices to gods. This could have generated anger, frustration during long drought years.

Asuras were contrasted with Suras (The outclass, who drink, dine and Gamble). These outclass utilised the scenario of draughts and dislodged the. Council. This is the reason, Asuras were shown with horns in Indian Mythology. The Suras were depicted as rich people engaged in drinking, dining and enjoying eternally (An hypothetical Gambler).

Samudra Mthana using mount meru is not a mythical story. Asuras wanted to divert back the rivers by constructing barrages in Himalayas. Suras wanted to shift the population to newly formed river plains (Ganges and Yamuna). Asuras thought abondfoning cities is not a sensible thing, as rivers might shift again. But due to gigantic effort involved, Suras won the support of people. The Amruth, is nothing but the water, that was life line for IVC people.

The Suras were imperialists. They were under constant threat for seat of power by another Sura or were fearfull for a revolt from public. So they were always short sighted and concentrated efforts to build forts to guard their power. This contrasts with the long term planning exhibited at creating public infrastructures by Asuras. This logically explains, why Harappan sites were abandoned and migrated people did not attempt to recreate cities, with what was already established as a proven technology. We see continuity in pottery, weights etc, but not in planned cities. Indian sub continent still suffers from sura rules with least public infrastructures.

The following is discussed for charvakas. Note the upanishad quote. Can that sloka was not intentional but speaks the truth that, there were attempts to project Asuras as "bad/evil" and Sura as "good". Note the intention is stated as deluding to destroy "Asuras"???

how then , without the original works of this Charvaka (or otherwise also called as lokayata philosophy) was spread or even propagated as an atheist philosophy is still a big question. The only possibility is that it is clearly a mischief of some deluded people who hatched their own ideas and propagated under the Name Charuvaka, the sweet talker (who must have been a famous sage or a spiritual practitioner) . And for their support they have even managed to insert verses into the sacred scriptures to make it appear more authentic . The first ever example for such alterations / adulterations can be seen in Maitrayani-Upanishat, which is self-contradictory.

Brihaspati, having become Sukra, brought forth that false knowledge for the safety of Indra and for the destruction of the Asuras. By it they show that good is evil, and that evil is good. They say that we ought to ponder on the (new) law, which upsets the Veda and the other sacred books. Therefore let no one ponder on that false knowledge: it is wrong, it is, as it were, barren. Its reward lasts only as long as the pleasure lasts, as with one who has fallen from his caste. Let that false science not be attempted, for thus it is said.
The above verse says that the sage brihaspati himself became Shukracharya to delude the asuras which is evidently a false information.
This insertion became the base for later scholars & has encouraged other evil minded fools also, posing as scholars to insert their own ideas in puranas, smrithis etc.. telling that Vishnu asked shiva to create shastras to delude the mass.

One of these Asuras, Asura Mazda/Ahur Mazda Formed Zoroarastrianism. Zoroastrianism was the most prominent religion of Mesopotamia. What are their beliefs? Firstly, that their God is Ahur Mazda. Secondly, they believe in a certain powerful satanic spirit called Ahriman. And their scriptures talk about two types of people -- Yazats and Devas. Devas are symbolic of the evil spirit, an embodiment of all that should not be. Even now, when people of the Mesopotamian region talk about Devas, they talk about them with disgust -- that is the kind of hatred that the Devas have generated. And most importantly, they are led by the demonic evil spirit called Ahriman. On the other hand, Yazats are the followers of the Supreme God Ahur Mazda. They are the righteous people, an embodiment of everything that should be correct.

Note, seated person with crown. The seated person is holding a overflowing pot of water. Other person is with Shaven head (Sura??), Third person is with horns..Does this Indicate Harappan "Sura" & "Asura" making representation before the chief of union? The "crown' hat person of this type is regarded as "God" in mesopotamia.

Ea/Enki (sumerian) is depicted in Mesopotamian art as a bearded god who wears a horned cap and long robes. Other mythical creatures also dwelt in the abzu with Ea, including the seven mythical sages (apkallū) who were created for the purpose of teaching wisdom to humanity. Exactly saptharshi comes in Indian purana also. They were the beginners of Gothras (teaching Vedas and starting vedic practices).

The subterranean ocean, or apsû, was the abode of Enki / Ea, and the source of incantations, purification rites and demons, disease, and witchcraft. "Apsu", Vedas refer water as "Apa".

Does the constellation "Aqauaris" or "Kumbha" represent this story?

Turtle was the symbol of Enki. A Turtle was holding the meru (the biggest problem) while "Sura" and "Asura" were discussing water issue. How similar!

Gudea Statue. A baked-clay plaque from Ur, Iraq, portraying a goddess; she holds a vase overflowing with water ('hé-gál' or 'hegallu') is a symbol of abundance and prosperity. This fascinating masterwork in diorite and some other valuable artifacts were dated back to 4000 and 3000 BC.

Notice how Gudea statue matches with Dhanvanthari bringing "Amrutha". We could say, Amrutha is nothing but "Water"

Indian scriptures tell us that their civilization was made up of two types of beings -- Devas and Asurs -- born of the same parent. Devas, being virtuous, were the toast of all and were bestowed with most of the important and responsible posts of the world by God, while Asurs were deemed incapable and got the raw deal. Asurs were miffed by this and were led away to a far off existence of their own, in defiance of the divine ordinance. Once in a while, they waged wars with Devas to reclaim their motherland. This description of the sequence of events tallies with the legends and scriptures of Mesopotamia. As per Mesopotamian legends, they were once the servants of Gods. They revolted against the Gods and Gods found them difficult to handle, which forced Gods to expel or let the Mesopotamians go to a far off existence. That is how Mesopotamians came into existence. This description of events tallies with other legends of Mesopotamia as well, like the Zurvan tales. All the legends of both the regions tally with each other.

Ref to Asuras Mazda is from link http://www.viewzone.com/zo.html .. Read the link that is bugging historians about the contradictions.

Now do you see why Devas are evil in Mesopotamia?

The vedic gods and puranic gods differ in India. Samudra manthan is the start of puranas in India. The puranas changed the narrative of vedic gods. The suras converted a historic event (A crisis on water) in to a story of Amrita. Amrita is nothing but "water".

Purpose and Objective Of Hindu temple

This question arises, as we dig temples for historic facts. Why Hindu temples are popular, spread across the nation and survived inspire of so many onslaughts? Is it because of hope? Why people built so many temples, although their prayers did not materialise and their life did not change due to temple?

Hindu concepts are, Sarve Jana sukhina Bhavantu", "Karma dictates your current life". " Human life comes after many rebirths, be thankful", "Do good things for future life, so that human life form can be used to get out of rebirth cycle". So, temple is not a place to demand material benefits or to pray ( Praying can be done at your home also. There should be bigger meaning than praying).

Temple is a place to say " gratitude" and a means to donate to social causes to gain browney points for future life. Even if one prays, nothing is going to happen, as things are dictated by karma. So, people were clear that temples were not praying centers.

Infact temples served 2 main objectives. 1) Centers to concentrate celestial power in the idol (some scientific basis exists for this) 2) To distribute donations for social causes (not jus humans, it includes environment, animals etc). Donation at temple was supposed to be used for welfare. Anybody pocketing donated money was cursed to accumulate the bad karma of donation giver. The benefits are assured of accumulating to doner, as "intention" is epitomised at the deity using "sankalpa". So, brahmins at temple never attempted in diverting funds for self gain (as they were pious and were working to gain "punya" for liberation than doing theft and accumulating "papa" for next birth). So system was working with highest efficiency.

Muslim invaders did not believe in this prophecy. They were natural thieves and were hard pressed to "live" due to droughts in Afghanistan, Arabia etc. They were not civilised to understand "rebirth cycle". So they attacked temple and looted.

To mask the original concept, They started something called " prayer place". They brought the concept of demanding or praying. They used to begin the day by praying for a kill (as they were hunters by practice). Indians evolved from hunting and were in to agriculture and were with abundant supply of food. They were looking for enhancing happiness (next higher plane), while west was still struggling for daily food. This difference dictated lot of things in religious practices.

So calling Indian temples as prayer hall (like a Budhist monastry or Durga or a church), or as peace place (place where you get peace of mind) or confession center (like in a church, where you can confess and get peace of mind in return) are not correct and were not the purpose for building Indian temples.

Hindu temples were not even placesof worshjip. In Kaashi, the idol is so small. Compare this to Huge statues of Bamiyan Budha or Gommateshwara of jaininsm. If worship was the idea, India and had built Huge statues off Shiva than building a "Brihadeeshwara" temple or Ankor wat temples. It was much easier and economical to build a big statue carved out of a rock than carving a kailasa temple. So many things were carved, because they wanted to reinforce concepts of Hinduism and wanted to educate people. The exterior carvings were purely for educating masses (not just to display art).

If you want to pray or worship, you can do it at your home. You have to visit a Hindu temple, if you want to say "Thank you" to god for giving a human life form and you want to do a social good. As Indian Govt is diverting donations, it is stealing money and any politician thriving on this money is actually accumulating your karma. As doing social good is not guaranteed any more through temple, you have to do it yourself by donating to people directly. Feed people who are in hunger, adopt a zoo animal, help a homeless child, educate a child, feed animal in distress, save animals, Do service/seva to keep rivers and environment clean you achieve the goal of accumulating punya.  As education is moved from temple, help schools or build vocational institutes that can impart skills to enable people earn a living. This is new vidya dana that was happening in temples earlier. This is the brief story of Indian temples.

Arabia derive its name from river Arabis and Arabs are of Indian Origian - Revelation from Indica

Indica" is the book written by Megasthenese, the greek ambassdor to India around 300 BC. The book is lost, but various other authors quote his book . Another book with the same name, Indica by Arrian survives. Note the book is written as a military journal to know the country.

Nearchus documents as follows. He says "Arabii" is an Indian tribe. It is derived from the river "Arabis".

The Crocola is identified as "Karachi"

and river Arabis is purali

The Bay of Sonmiyani is still identified as "Sonmiani Bay" in pakistan maps. It is near Balakot.

Britishers identify this area as "Belujistan" and document the area between river Habb and river Purali. Both Habb and Purali are identified and "Purali" is rightfully identified as ancient "Arabis". Purali river is a minor river now. Such minor river's name being used to identify the "sea" (as Arabian sea) and a land as "Arabia" generates key questions. Probably in ancient time (during river Saraswati), this river Arabis must also be big.  The tributaries of Arabis, could have shifted to river "Sindhu" (like tributaries of sarawathi shifting to yamuna and ganges due to platonic shift in Himalayas). This should have reduced the river to a minor river status today. Only a roaring big river could contribute its name to "Arabian Sea". It is strange, nobody talks about this mismatch!!

The above page is taken from the British encyclopedia book, publication of 1845.

Naturally, The "Arabian sea" is derived due to this river. These Indian tribals must have gone and settled in "Arabia", which are the  "Oil rich Arabian-kingdoms" today. See the map at Alexanders time.

Nyasi region was after Arabii (Afghanisthan of today). These Nyasians are also identified as Indian in origin.

Bacchus is equated with Shiva. River Cophen is Kabul river. The tribe of Nyasi is also identified as "Indian origin" and there is a talk of "Aryans migrating out of India"... How Britishers, conveniently lied

Muslims in India and Pakisthan think, "Arab race" is superior. But Megsthenese says, tribes west of Indus are inferior.

Proper India is identified by greeks as follows

The tribe "Arabii" was in constant fight with "Persians" (The Iranians). The same continues today as sunny (led by Arabia) and Shia (led by Iran/persia). This is really very very old conflict, even before the birth of prophet Mohamed.

Indica - Megasthanese Book, dispelling caste theories

Indians, should read this and also share it widely. It helps to dispel some of the lies spread in our society today. Educators should work to bring this fact in history books, so Indians feel proud and get correct picture of our society.

"Indica" is the book written by Megasthenese, the greek ambassdor to India around 300 BC. The book is lost, but various other authors quote his book . Another book with the same name, Indica by Arrian survives. Note the book is written as a military journal to know the country, hence the data has to be as "factual" as possible, to avoid errors in costly military strategies. Also it is an addendum (not the main subject) written as part of Alexanders conquest. As the main objective was on alexander, there is no reason to fudge data about India. Alexander turned back from India after his peace treaty with porus (As porus was re-instated, it is a definite peace). Victor usually writes history for his advantage. As there is no victory or loss, as far as India is considered during Alexanders conquest, the history recorded can be considered at best as a neutral and third party observation without any bias.

Purpose of writing Indica by Arrian:-

Military observation about India:-

Important points in the book are

1) No Indian ever went outside his own country on a warlike expedition, so righteous were they.

Why Indians did not invade is clearly explained..(A Sense of justice (Sarve jana sukino bahatu!) prevented any Indian king from attempting conquest! A conquest is a normal thing when a king becomes powerful. A king was prevented, only because, he was bound by the court, which was democratically representing society. So king could not push his wish. The society was influenced by "saints" who were in pursuit of "Happiness & God". This proves, how checks and balances kept Indian society in greatest of the civilian order.

< Indians/Hindus never tried to conquer other lands by force>

2) This also is remarkable in India, that all Indians are free, and no Indian at all is a slave.

<Humanity is enforced since 1000's of years. This is not seen in any other country>

3) After several years, the royal rule was replaced by democratic city states, although there existed a few kings when Alexander invaded India.

<Why India is not called the "Oldest Democracy/Republic"? Is this not a sufficient proof?>

4) The Indian warriors regard those engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry as sacred. Unlike the warriors in other countries, they do not ravage farms during war conquests. Moreover, the warring sides never destroy the enemy land with fire or cut down its trees.

<No destruction, even in war. Labour and food was respected by both sides, as they have to manage people post war. So noble>

5) The Indians generally are divided into seven castes, the wise men (Brahmins), farmers, herdsmen , artisans, soldiers, over lookers, and government officials including army and navy officers.

<This Bust the myth of caste-ism that the leftist talk today. Note there were only 7 classification>

A) Brahmins -> Neither masters, nor servants, Exempted from all public duties, Engaged by others to offer sacrifices and perform funerary rites, for which they received valuable gifts and privileges. At the beginning of the year, they make prophecies. A philosopher whose prophecy fails receives strong criticism and has to observe silence for the rest of his life, but otherwise incurs no penalty.

<Note, Brahmins were acknowledged as priestly class but were not in a position to make rules (like exploiting shudras, as it is made out today). Also No punishment to Brahmins and are exempted from public duty, like labour and war. This is what, Indian accounts also say about Brahmins>

B) Farmers/ Husbandsmen -> Most numerous of all castes, Exempted from fighting and other public duties. Regarded as public benefactors, and protected from damage during wars, even by enemy warriors. Pay a land tribute to the ruler, the official land owner (Property tax). In addition, they remit 1/4th of their produce to the state treasury

<Tax capped at 25%, unlike todays 35-80% by modern Govts>

C) Herders -> Animal husbandry is treated as sacred. Hunt and trap crop-destroying birds and animals.

<Note, they were hunting animals that were engaged in damage to human habitat. They were raising animals normally. So noble and clear>

D) Artisans & Traders (Vysya) -> Create weapons as well as tools for farmers and others. People engaged in military service were exempted from paying taxes, and instead receive a maintenance from the state exchequer

<Artisans were supported by Govt. for the service provided to military. The life of artisans was secured. Traders/Vysyas held money power, but no support from public (man power) and no muscle power. So, they were not in a position to "Legislate".>

E) Military (Kshatriya) -> Second most numerous among the castes, Indulge in amusements and idleness during peaceful times, maintained at state expense, along with war horses and elephants

<Army is used in peace times too. Maintained by govt. Powerful physically, but no role in making rules>

D) Overseers -> Carry out administrative tasks.

<Note, Brahmins (as deemed today) were not the only people in administrative role. Any educated person or talented to supervise was inducted in administration. Education, sincerity & trust were main criteria, rather than their birth sect.>

F) Councilors and Judicial Assessors (Legislators) - Composed of wise people with good character,Deliberate on public affairs; included the royal advisers, state treasurers, dispute arbitrators; the army generals and chief magistrates also usually belonged to this class, Least numerous, but most respected.

< This class was derived from all other communities based on talent. A body of intellects. They were small, no physical power, money power or people power. So, they cannot gang up and exploit others. They act as balancing power for other sects (Intellectualism of brahmins, money power of vysyas, Muscle power of Kshatrias and manpower of artisans and farmers). This is the democratic body>

The rule of  caste is clearly explained in below passage. We can clearly see that, caste was used as "profession" and not a "jati". As profession was continued in hereditary style, it is equated as "jati" by birth. Note how, trade and caste (7 classification) were coming here to explain the context of rules. Infact caste was not related to religion at all. It is just a social stratification for division of labour (like a profession today).

It also tells about marriage within a caste/trade. Note, no dowry system, another feather of civilian society.

The division is so perfect. It was not possible for one group to dominate all others and exploit. The "perfect division" means, optimization & rationalization of resources, labor and benefits. The optimization reduces burden and enables low cost in manufacture, enabling competitiveness of the country. That is why India dominated world trade.  Note, this is what greeks learned from India 1000's of years back. Unfortunately, our children are not learning this today.

The book busts "Manuvaadi/Brahminical/Castiest/vedic" theories of cast in India If manu has prescribed, 4 castes (Brahmin/Kshatriya/Vysya/Shudra), why there were 7 classification practiced in society?  Another important point is, the caste system survived the entire history of India. The argument is simple, every parents desires a bright future for their children. If cast system in India was exploitative, it would not have survived from vedic age to Britishers, as farmers son would not continued to farm & a soldiers son would not continued to be a soldier. It is not rewarding now (after Britishers, as they altered the dynamics), as farmers, soldiers, artisans, Brahmin's do not want their children to continue the traditional profession.  The reward in Indian society was not at all materialistic/financial in nature. The reward for a labor was expected to be "deriving satisfaction in doing a karma". It was more to do with meeting ones objective in life to derive "Happiness". Since  family profession was giving more meaning and rewarding to individuals, the entire family, relatives, sect and society encouraged individuals to pick up the family trade. As India was a free society, nobody was forced in to a profession. This is true, as Megasthanese, clearly indicates no slaves and no forced labor in Indian society.

Due to mentioning of 7 classification (rather than 4 varnas used in castiest arguments like, brahmins/kshatriyas/vysyas & Shudras) and documenting India as a free society, Megsthanese expose "Britishers", "Leftists historians" and Indian press, who repeatedly told the lie of "castist system" to de-mean and subjugate Indian citizens. It is a shame, "Independent India" still teaches these lies in school even today, in spite of strong proof against the "exploitative caste theory".

Actually the grouping has not changed much. Just look at the classification with modern names:-

A) Brahmins(non-profit group):- Journalists (not media barrons), Strategists, People in Religious bodies (not just hindu, but all religions), NGO's, Artisits (like musicians, painters, architects), scientists, teachers

B) Farmers: - Farmers

C) Herders:- Animal Husbandry, part of farmer community only

D) Artisans :- Industrialists (non govt), Workers (both blue & white color workers, not in higher management), Medical professionals, Engineers

E) Military:- Military, Police & Special forces

F) Overseers :- Govt Workers, Administrators & Traders

G) Councilors & Judicial Assessors (Politicos & capitalists): Politicians, Investors, Barrons, Land lords, Mafia dons, Celebrities (sports & Cinema), Pseudo Intellectuals, Judges and all elites (VIP, VVIP and HNI's)

Brahmins or "non-profit group" is the one that should be exempted from taxation. All other group is taxed (As they work for profit/income). This is the real meaning of Brahminic division. Another important point is land ownership. "Ruler/state" was true owner of land. Only tenancy rights was alloted. So, no land disputes, and no jamindari exploitations. Britishers altered this equation, so that private citizens could hold "land ownership" paving the path for land grabbing and hoarding of land. This is the root cause for corruption in the country.

Note, how, scope of group "G" is altered. What was a body with "talents" was replaced by vested interests. People with at least "one power" (muscle, men, money and intellectuals) can join the gang to gang up against the rest. This collusion allows exploitation of all other groups. Note how, incompetence is creeping in the societal order, increasing burden on people. The burden also means increased cost, enabling downfall of our country. Britishers employed this trick first in killing cotton industry of India. They levied heavy taxes and started disrupting the labor force. Indian hegemony in world economics nose dived from that point.

To regain the "Leadership position", Indians should think of correcting "group G" again. It will set the social order back to optimal point. The optimal point will reduce the peoples burden and solve peoples problem. Most of the litigations are land disputes. If that is solved, huge burden & liability on Indian citizens gets solved. It will unlock the black money hoarded there for industrial development. This is the learning we should get from "True History" documented in Megasthanese "Indica".
